Sometimes, we too get inspired by Coperni’s newest runway model Kylie Jenner. This time, it was by Kylie’s 2016 resolution: “realizing things.”
Over the past few weeks, we’ve covered the fashion weeks in New York, London, and Milan, and it’s only now that we’ve found ourselves asking, “What are we actually doing?” Realizing that we’re not a typical fashion media outlet — for the latest news, you’d be better off with Vogue Runway or Lauren Sherman’s Line Sheet newsletter — we had a bit of an epiphany.
While many of you have enjoyed our Fashion Week coverage (the numbers don’t lie, so thank you), we’ve realized that simply covering the shows like a news outlet isn’t really what we do best. What we excel at? Curating. So, for the final newsletter in our Fashion Month series, we’ve curated the 10 Most Cabmate Looks from Paris Fashion Week. After combing through all the collections—focusing solely on the runway shows—we’ve selected the 10 looks that most capture the Cabmate vibe. And yes, with so many brands and styles, it might be like comparing apples to oranges. Yet, since Cabmate is all about a feeling, anything from high-end chic to casual daywear can fit within the spectrum. Right?
So here we go, the 10 Most Cabmate Looks from Paris Fashion Week, Spring 2025.
10. Atlein - Look 21
At number 10, we have a standout look from Atlein’s Spring 2025 collection. Atlein’s Antonin Tron, who just announced a collaboration with Kylie Jenner’s Khy (yes, here she is again), showcased a variety of strong designs.
Look 21—a black, draped slip dress with a high, sensual slit—perfectly captured the empowering spirit Tron wanted to convey in this collection, designed for women challenging gender roles. The combination of the dress with the tall, rugged black boots creates the ideal balance between feminine and masculine — very Cabmate. One thing we’d change? Skip the bracelet to keep the look clean. And it’s a shame that all the runway images were so heavily edited; imperfections should be embraced, not hidden.
9. Marie Adam-Leenaerdt - Look 23
Marie Adam-Leenaerdt presented a very real, urban-chic collection at the French brasserie Terminus Nord. Her Spring 2025 collection offered a wide range of looks—featuring muted tones alongside bold reds and blues—many of which could easily be described as very Cabmate. Yet, Look 23 stands out as the most Cabmate of them all.
This all-black ensemble, featuring tailored black pants, a black tee, and topped with a simple yet striking puffed black jacket and leather bag, oozes coolness while maintaining sophistication. Adam-Leenaerdt excels at adding that extra edge—or better yet, character—to functional clothing. These are the kinds of looks you’d actually see on the streets, and we’re here for it.
8. Christopher Esber - Look 7
For his Spring 2025 collection, Christopher Esber set out to create silhouettes that embody "relaxed glamour." With that in mind, it’s no surprise one of his looks made our Top 10 Most Cabmate Looks.
Esber’s Look 7, a relaxed-fit grey suit with the intriguing addition of a wide shirt, cleverly designed to drape loosely over one side of the jacket, was both elegant and laid-back, adding a striking twist to a classic ensemble. "Relaxed glamour" perfectly describes this look, and paired with a cool set of sunglasses, it easily earns its spot on our list. If we’re allowed one critique, though, it would be the sandals—they look just a bit too small. A pointed flat (as seen in some of the other looks) might have made it feel even more “relaxed.”
7. Dries van Noten - Look 30
Dries van Noten’s Spring 2025 collection marked the first without the designer himself at the helm, though he was present in the audience to witness the work of his former team.
The collection still felt unmistakably "Dries," with a tasteful mix of patterns and colors. Despite the colors and patterns, many of the looks had a surprisingly Cabmate vibe—empowering, elegant, and effortlessly relaxed. Look 30, featuring a dark green leather jacket over a dark brown blouse paired with patterned shorts, was the epitome of chic casual. The details, especially the accessories, completed the look: a minimalist bag and dito heels that were simply, and undeniably, chic. Altogether, it was a great example of blending effortless style with sophistication. Even without Dries himself at the helm, the Dries van Noten will remain a go-to for timeless style.
6. Gabriela Hearst - Look 41
At number 6 on our list is a look from Gabriela Hearst’s Spring 2025 collection. This collection featured tailored pieces, leather looks, vibrant ensembles, all-gold outfits, and great dresses.
Look 41, a simple black dress paired with casual black sneakers and a large leather bag, seamlessly blended elegance with ease. It’s an ideal look for a hot summer day, striking the perfect balance between casual chic and sophistication. Here, too, the devil is in the details: the dress straps, crafted from the same chains as those on the bag, add an intriguing edge to the overall look. Simple yet enriched with character — very Cabmate.
5. Hermès - Look 46
Hermès is synonymous with timeless elegance. For the brand’s Spring 2025 collection, Nadège Vanhée aimed to convey “the idea of assertive sensuality.” In her pursuit of this theme, Vanhée paired sheer pieces with leather elements—both in the clothing and accessories, which is to be expected from a leather icon like Hermès.
Look 46 featured an all-black ensemble that included a timeless ankle-length coat over a sheer little black dress, complemented by classic (and classy) knee-high leather boots. This combination creates a look that is both sensual and powerful, perfectly embodying the concept of “assertive sensuality.” Hermès is certainly more than just scarves and Birkin bags, and this look (and collection) reinforced that notion.
4. Stella McCartney - Look 16
At number 4, we have the first look from Stella McCartney’s Spring 2025 collection, which certainly leans more toward the more casual side of the Cabmate spectrum.
Stella McCartney’s designs are always timeless, blending simple ease with chic sophistication. Her Spring 2025 collection embodied this perfectly, featuring a range of neutral-colored looks interspersed with a few brighter ensembles—yet none are loud, overdone, or dramatic. Look 16 showcased an oversized white blazer layered over a simple cream top and white shorts (or is it a skirt?), cinched with a structured black belt. The combination exudes the effortless cool vibe we seek in outfits. Similarly to Dries van Noten's look, McCartney’s Look 16 is styled perfectly — this time with a great sized dark brown leather bag and sleek white lace-up boots. Effortless and cool—truly close to perfect.
3. Peter Do - Look 21
We’ve reached our Top 3, and at number 3 is a look from Peter Do. Do’s newest collection, once again presented in Paris, was a blend of various styles. As the show notes indicated, a central part of the collection were floral motifs drawn from Do’s personal sketchbook, translated on sheer Italian jersey.
Peter Do’s Look 21 featured a black dress crafted with this floral motif. With a high neckline and simple silhouette, it perfectly exemplifies the concept of "less is more." This look is elegant and timeless, and its understated styling and hair contribute to a very effortless vibe. We could easily envision Alexa Chung wearing this—it would be a Cabmate dream.
2. Stella McCartney - Look 45
At number 2, we have our second look from Stella McCartney, this time leaning toward the more chic side of the spectrum. We can keep it brief: this highly minimalist, elegant off-the-shoulder dress embodies timeless minimalism. And just look at the back view; the lucky one who wears this dress on the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival in May 2025 will undoubtedly be the best dressed — period.
1. Miu Miu - Look 54 & Look 56
Finally, we’ve reached our number 1. In the world of Cabmate, effortless style is key, and right now, Miuccia Prada reigns supreme in that category. Miu Miu’s Spring 2025 collection brilliantly showcases what you can achieve with an anything-goes attitude and how to style these effortless looks in a classy, elegant manner.
Look 54 (similar to Look 56) is as simple as it gets, but the top is designed in such a way that it exudes an effortless vibe that says, “I don’t care.” Paired with a bag tucked under the arm that epitomizes effortless chic, there’s nothing to improve here. As one of you pointed out in a comment on our Instagram feed: “There’s something about holding a bag in the crook of your arm, even though it clearly has handles, that’s so casual yet chic.” Yes, yes, yes!
That's a wrap! Fashion month has come to an end, and we're returning to our usual content lineup. We hope you’ve enjoyed it, and stay tuned for a slightly less fashion-focused newsletter next week.
